Redeeming Love EldersMeet our Elder Team
Woodly & Shelly Zacek
Lead Pastor / Elder
Pastor Woodly has been a part of Redeeming Love since he was a young chilld with his family at Rev. Smallman’s cabin. He attended Cornell University to study math education. In addition he was a four year member of the varsity football team and President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes on campus. After receiving his degree Pastor Woodly moved home and began serving in the youth ministry at the church. In addition he became a high school math teacher at Holland Patent Central Schools and a coach. After several years or ministry and mentorship from Pastor Ron Smallman he received his License to Minister through Elim Fellowship and is presently ordained. Pastor Woodly continues to teach math at HP where he also serves as the varsity football coach. He also holds his master’s degree in education from Walden University.
Pastor Woodly’s life was marked by powerful encounters as a young child at Camp Shiloh a summer youth camp. Those experiences helped instil a hunger for the presence of God. At Cornell he grew in his relationship with the Lord and was strengthened by deep friendships and powerful leadership lessons serving with FCA. Little did he know how the Lord would use those lessons in the days to come. At the end of his time at Cornell the Lord spoke very clearly to his heart to return home to Central New York. Pastor Woodly has a desire God’s will be done “on earth as it is in heaven.” He believes strongly that with God all things are possible and desires to see people released into their full potential in their areas of influence. He likes to say that “church is not a spectator sport,” and God desires to use each one of us to minister the way that Jesus ministered.
In 2011 Pastor Woodly married his beautiful wife Shelly. Shelly works as an itinerant pre-school special education teacher. She has a hunger to see the presence of God made manifest in people’s lives.
Lou & Pam Leneghen
In 1978, at their kitchen table, a childhood friend of Lou’s introduced Lou and Pam to Jesus Christ as their personal savior. Two months later, while attending First Assembly of God in Utica, New York, they were both baptized in the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
While at First Assembly of God, Lou and Pam worked a bus ministry which transported inter-city children and youth to services at the church. They also led the youth into street ministry in the Utica/Rome area. To their knowledge many of these youngsters were profoundly impacted and are still walking with the Lord today.
Lou was raised in a family with remarkable musical ability. The Lord used this ability to move Lou and Pam from First Assembly of God to other churches where both were able to minister and share the love of Christ. The Lord has used him for years to bring people into the presence of God through worship.
The Lord has used Pam and her knowledge of the Word to minister to all age groups of women. There is an anointing upon her to share her testimony which is filled with serious childhood hardships. Through her sharing, the hearts of others are opened to see a deliverance that can only come from our heavenly Father.
Twelve years after their salvation, while ministering at a wedding, Lou and Pam were approached by Rev. Bob Smallman (one of the founding Pastors of Redeeming Love Fellowship). Rev. asked Lou to share his music ministry that following Sunday at the Canterbury Hill location. Shortly thereafter, Lou and Pam began their affiliation with Redeeming Love Fellowship. Ever since, Lou has lead worship and Pam has shared in teaching and prophetic ministry.
Lou and Pam have been married for 42 years and have raised two loving children who are both walking with the Lord, and are also active members of Redeeming Love Fellowship. Lou is employed full time as a tool and dye maker at Con-Med in Utica, New York, and Pam is a retired Registered Nurse.
